Description
Workshop Purpose: This Coaches workshop is designed to support FIRST Tech Challenge coaches preparing for the 2023-2024 season. Topics covered will include basic robot build, programming, judges’ presentations, prototyping, and team management.
Professional Development Credits: For classroom teachers, this is recognized by the State of Michigan Department of Education for 7.5 SCHECHs.

Workshop Agenda:
7:45 am – 8:00 am Welcome / Check-in / Paperwork completion
8:00 am – 8:30 am Introduction to program / Goal setting for the day
8:45 am – 10:00 am Basic robot build and intro to programming
10:00 am – 10:15 am BREAK
10:15 am – 11:30 am Programming / Working with the Master Program
11:30 am – 12:00 pm Judge Presentations
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm LUNCH (provided)
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Prototyping
2:30 pm – 3:15 pm Running a Program
3:15 pm – 3:30 pm BREAK
3:30 pm – 5:00 pm Autonomous Competition
