What is INNOVATE Albion?

INNOVATE Albion is a teaching and training center for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and robotics in Southwest Michigan. As a nonprofit organization, founded in collaboration with Caster Concepts, Inc. and Conceptual Innovations, we bring together students, educators, and professionals to build the next generation of skilled talent in our region.

The idea for INNOVATE Albion began as Caster Concepts and Conceptual Innovations took a creative approach to recruit and retain skilled talent for their engineering team. The skilled talent required in the manufacturing field does not often seek out Southwest Michigan as a place to build their life. However, our area schools are filled with students eager to put their learning into action and begin working. INNOVATE Albion believes that through mentorship, hands-on learning, and internship opportunities we can build a sustainable pipeline of skilled talent for manufacturing facilities throughout the region.

After School Programs

We provide a variety of after school programs throughout the year for students to ignite their learning and engage with peers in topics like 3D printing and Lego Robotics

Summer Camps

Our summer camps are designed to challenge students while making learning fun. From Lego Robotics to Drone Adventures there is something for everyone each summer.

Robotics Teams

We believe in the value of a team environment and we really love robots. Students grades K - 12 can engage on a robotics team, test their skills and develop new competencies alongside their peers.

STEM Saturdays

STEM Saturday was such a hit in 2023 we decided to keep the fun and learning in 2024. Join us every other month this year for more engaging and exciting STEM-based activities for the whole family.

We are excited to partner with Kellogg Community College’s Lifelong Learning Department to offer STEM Saturdays. This year-long program will SPARK your student’s interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and interactions with industry professionals.
